Studying Abroad

As any linguist will tell you, studying in the country of the language that you're learning, makes the world of difference. So as part of my degree I am doing just that.
From September 2013 I will be studying at the Université d'Avignon, in the south of France and then in February I will move to Barcelona, to study at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona: UAB.
These are adventures that I am extremely excited about and I know that they will be a brilliant opportunity to not only improve my French and Spanish Language respectively, but also my independent organisational skills and my ability to adapt to new situations as they rise.

Initial intentions!

Welcome to my Careers skills blog! My name is Lucy Bent and I am currently studying for my Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish at the University of Leicester.

This blog is intended to display and collect together my work experience and career skills as I gain them. In addition I will be adding posts that directly relate to the Leicester Award that I am currently undertaking, I will refer to things that I may be studying during my course and also any extra-curricular activities that I feel are relevant.

In the past I began a blog to record all of these things and I did find it very useful to collate all of my experiences in one place. The Leicester award has given me the opportune chance to revise this blog and create a Careers skills blog 2.0. Whilst researching about how I should go about writing this blog and improving on my last one, through another Leicester Award blog I found a link to a mini guide that does just that. http://suleadershipaward.wordpress.com/example-blog-posts/ Therefore I will use this as a guide for my posts, so that I can get the most out of each one.
